A SOFT WARM DAY
UNITED WITH MY OLD FRIEND,
DOWN BY THE HUDSON RIVER

Every time I look at this photo, from early In September, I remember what a beautiful day it was... so nicely warm... and so quiet there... only one older couple about shouting distance from me, and a young man and his dog who passed through and stood to watch the sunset for a bit...
This was one of the most glorious days I've had with NATURE down by THE RIVER, in a long time... with my old 12 string guitar, for the first time in about 40 years. (* I just recently "found" it again) Usually I take my 6 string, but then it just sounds annoying somehow (as beautiful as it sounds) like it doesn't belong there, so after a short time, I just sit and draw and write and listen to the sounds of nature... but there was something about the sound of THIS old guitar that seemed to blend with and actually glorify it... like angels singing.
It was just as soft and warm, as it looks in this photo, with a light breeze, and the lapping of the river. A few boats and kayaks were enjoying their ride on it. It was as peaceful as it looks here... but even this picture can't do justice to that day... only my memory, and your imagination, can.
